Okay, so my cat Lizzy, who is threatened by the new kitten, is now laying in her litter box. I saw her go in the litter room *hoping* she would go in the box and not outside it or spray. She scratched around in one box, then went to another box and laid down in the box. She's not urinating or pooping, just laying in the box kind of in meatloaf position. I know she's upset about the kitten. Is the "protecting" her box? I've never seen her (or any cat) do this.
