Hi, we recently got a puppy and with all the research I've been doing I've learned a lot about pet food. I'm seriously considering making his. Then I thought, it's not really fair for the kitties to have gross food if the dog gets good food. Lol I might be crazy! I have been feeding them Kirkland maitnance cat for cats under 1 yr, mama is 1 and she's still nursing her babies. Puppy has been getting Costco food too so it's been even so far. Lol

I only have one semi feral. She's and old lady who's set in her ways, and gets Royal Canin Sensible kibble and Almo Nature Classics pouches. We don't think she has a lot longer left, so are giving her what she likes best.

I fed a small community cat colony, in two locations, 1/4 mile apart. The bigger one (four or five cats) get Friskies wet food and dry food, though they seem to be getting pickier: they prefer Fancy Feast! Although sometimes well meaning people will leave out cooked whole chicken or macaroni or beans. I generally throw that away; cats must not eat cooked ones.
At the other location, the cat I fed I also fostered for four months; we know each other well. He will eat raw food, so I will sometimes give him some of that if I see him; otherwise, I leave some Friskies wet and dry food.
Feral/stray cats need a lot of calories during the cold months, so I generally leave out more dry food than wet. Some cats don't recognize raw/commercial raw/homemade food as, well, food, and won't touch the food. Only one cat in the larger colony would eat raw food.
