My Inky who has been fine until last week, has waged war with the mini blinds. first he tore pieces off making a perfect square. I put down double adhesive tape to keep him out the windows. In response to this, he tried to cut a hole at a higher point. He is neutered, so I don't know why he is acting this way. I need a solution before I replace the blinds. I live in an apartment so I can't leave the curtains open. What do I do.

I hate to say it, but mini blinds and cats don't mix. Cats naturally want to look out windows for entertainment, and mini blinds are an obstacle they simply won't tolerate.

Can you forgo replacing the blinds till you're ready to move out, and put up sheer curtains for daytime use?

It looks too bad. I tried opening the blinds during the day but had problems with kids hanging around the windows. I'm on the first floor and by a sidewalk.

How about some kind of room or panel screen in front of the window(s), set back far enough that Inky can easily get up on the sill?

We use sheer curtains to block the view during the day.

I have two Kitties that love looking out the window. I just pull up my blinds a few feet, enough for them to sit there and they have no problem!
