I just brought in a pregnant momma cat today. She was left by the land owner and I'm currently fostering another litter of 4 to 5 week old kittens. I have no idea how far a long this momma is but her belly feels hard. She just hides under my bed and wants nothing to do with the box I made for her. I hope it all turns out okay.

She won't go into the box until the last minute.  She won't want to soil it or attract predators.

Here are a couple of links to threads of other strays brought inside so you can see what problems they have/are facing.

Welcome to our Forums, please continue to report and ask questions.  You will get good support!

In this moment she need to "land", to become comfortable with the new situation, and get in the feeling of being safe and welcomed.

Talk much with her in a friendly voice.  You may sit down or sumiliar, to not tower above her.   Stainding on all fours, strech yourself forwards and bakwards, yawn often - friendly cats do so!

Dont look into her eyes, look at her chin or her ears instead...

- Observe, when cats yawns and strech on themselves, usually its NOT "lazy, sleepy cat" but its very often a show off friendliness....

Tx a lot for caring!

On another note, my other fosters are due for shots and I could only get my hands on the 8 week focus cat vax 3. They see 7 weeks now but I'm now seeing it's 8 weeks and up. They see perfectly healthy. Shall I wait the extra week? I've always done my own with all my dog and cat fosters but I our store was out of the 6 week shots.

Waiting until eight weeks is advised. You certainly have your hands full!
