it always seemed the smallest! but i guess its not lol! two small ones weigh the same. mommy calmed down now. the storm
ended here. who knows what shes thinking. everyone is eating. So glad I waited. I know alot about cats. My Vet is usually surprised at the **** i know lol. But a box of kittens in my life is another story. Ive never experienced this.

Yes, continue weighing the two smallest.

Kittens should weigh about one pound (16 ounces) at four weeks, so even the smallest are on target. Clearly they are eating well enough.

I don't know why she is singling out the one, but you'll just have to keep putting it back.

If you see that she is totally rejecting it, or it's getting bullied off its nipple and not eating enough, and just not gaining a half an ounce a day, then you'll need to supplement.

We're happy to help :)
how do u know your stuff? Are you obsessed like me and just read alot??? Ive gone thru hell and back w cats. Just put my max down on xmas eve. Im down to 1 cat (and a feral in my yard) she does not come inside of course. Btw shes the herpes starter. Last yr I let her in during the polar vortex we had. And boom two wks later my cats were violently ill. She will never step foot in here again. She prefers not to anyway! lol.

I will b adopting one of these kittens. my sister is keeping the mom. I already lined up homes for the rest. I will introduce kitten to my cat after vaccinations r done.

I finay know now why she started bringing kittens into the living room. She no longer wants to hide in a box with them in the closet. She insisted on taking over the living room! She wants them to b where the action is. I am very surprised!!! They r doing wonderful! Even started playing a bit, slapping each other!

That's good news.  Start kitten proofing.  It won't be long before they are exploring every inch.

They r doing great! They only try to climb over when kids r over to see them. Mom lets us do whatever we want now. She loves the break when we play w them. I did notice two have yucky eyes.
Im so worried the herpes virus made its way downstairs. My cat has flare
ups every now and then. This has been my fear this entire time. He had not even gone downstairs near them. We wash our hands etc. ive been doing warm water compress on two of them. I hope they arent getting sick. Noone will want them.

Yucky eyes means an eye infection, which is very contagious, though very easily treated. You'll need to get terramycin eye ointment from your vet, and use it on all the kittens, but you only need to take one kitten in. In the meantime, gently wipe their eyes with a soft damp cloth a few times a day to clear them.

Use a clean cloth for each kitten.

When you get the ointment put a tiny bit on a paper towel or something so you are not going from a kittens eye to the ointment container.  You don't want to contaminant it.

You'll need to ask your vet about that. You need something that's okay for kittens.
