Do cats, like humans, have watery fore milk followed by fattier hind milk? Anyone know lol. I've tried google.
Wondering if putting tiny kitten on a teat fatty kitten has spent some time on is a good thing or would it just be running low and be worse for her.
Is there a reason fatty prefers her teat, is it because its better milk towards the end.. Or just smells nice as the milk is there.

Kittens just pick a nipple and stick with it.  The first few days the mother's body is producing colostrum w/antibodies then the milk coming in.  If the kittens drain the teat, more milk will be produced.

They're not fussy on which teat, just he always wants the one she's on.
I know about colostrum etc. Just as a bf mum I know that the first part of the feed is thinner and gets better and thicker, fattier, towards the end.
Was talking to another bf mummy and we thought it may be an idea if she only snack feeds to give her his teat after he's fed a bit so she can get the better milk? If cats work like humans.

It sounds like she is drinking contently and the bigger one is rooting her out. If this is preventing her from getting enough, then remove him long enough for her to get her fill.

They do usually pick a nipple and stick with it. Sounds like he's trying them all.
