Hi everyone! I'd like to introduce my new girl, Saffron. She is a gorgeous 11-month-old tortoiseshell with beautiful, golden eyes.

She's such a friendly and personable cat. I have never had a cat that's so talkative and just wants to be involved in everything, no matter what it is or who it's with. When I met her at the shelter, the first thing she did was greet me with a really loud meow, stand on her hind legs, put her front paws on my shoulders, and give me a kitty kiss. She still greets me that way everyday, rubbing her face (quite forcefully) against my nose or chin. She'll randomly decide that I'm in need of grooming and lick my nose or cheeks until I have to break away because the sand-paper tongue is making my skin raw.
I took this picture through my SnapChat while we were sitting in the shelter together. Everyone said it looks like she's smiling -- like she knew she had found her human and was going to a good home! It fills me with joy when I think about it that way.
