Goodbye, Hershey

i really was hoping hershey would make it but, he got septic and had abscesses all over him apparently, and yesterday, on the one month anniversary since i'd been bottle feeding him and his two sisters, we had to put him down.

i'm really going to miss this little guy. it feels like i should still be bathing him after every feeding, making sure he doesn't have milk crusted up under his chin, turning him over to be rinsed while he wiggles. he fell asleep on my arm once, just thrown over it. the night before we took him he sat on my chest, purring and kneading, as i scratched under his chin and wiped at his face with a wash cloth. he was well for a while, with his big eyes open, and he liked walking around everywhere, but the poor little guy just didn't grow. at least i got the time with him that i did.

we buried him beside our house with a bunch of marigolds from our garden, and i miss him a lot. goodbye baby boy. <3

Such a short little life, but he knew love.  Your heart is hamburger but it will heal in time.  Thanks for all your care of this little guy.

What an adorable kitten.  Bless you for everything you did for him.  It helps restore my faith in humans, which has been shaken lately, to know there are people out there like you.  I am so sorry for your loss.  

I'm so sorry little Hershey didn't make it. It's heartbreaking when their lives are so short. RIP, little one.

My heart breaks for the pain you are going through, I know how much agony it can be. That precious little boy should have had a much different life, but sometimes this world has different plans then our own. It is impossible for us to understand something like this, I pray you will be able to find comfort in your memories and in knowing you had him in your life for that brief time. Bless you for being there for him, he loved and needed you and you were there for him. Please take care of yourself, and thank you for letting us know of this precious angel so he will never be forgotten RIP sweet Hershey, you will be held in a loving heart forever!

Oh what a sweet picture!  I began crying when I saw it.  It's just not fair that some have to go so young.  I'm so sorry for your baby!

What an adorable little kitten Hershey was. I'm so sorry his life was cut so short but he knew you loved him. I hope you find some comfort in knowing you gave him a good life.

So sorry for your loss. It is awful when they are so young. We lost our little Binx on Sunday. He was only 1. I am taking comfort in knowing how loved he was in that year as was yiur little one. Sending you lots of hugs xx
