Hi
I realize there already is a very similar thread but I didn't want to hijack it. My 15 year old doesn't poop in the box either but she has another problem, she's blind. Normally that doesn't hamper her; she knows the house better than I do. But lately she began not using the litter box. She was peeing, always in the same place but I shampooed, used copious amounts of urine remover and "roped off" the area with string. That seems to have stopped it. But she still #2s outside the box pretty much always in the same place. We keep a litter box in the powder room which is accessed by a short (3ft) hall way. She goes either in the powder room or in the hallway just outside the powder room door. Incidentally, we have hardwood floors. The other day I found poo in the pantry hallway just opposite where she usually goes. When she goes I clean the floor thoroughly but she doesn't stop. Since she goes in the same place and and she's blind I'm guessing it's a locational issue: she knows where the litter box is and she gets close. For some reason she thinks "close enough" Any thoughts on correcting this? Thanks
