my cat is one years old and ever since i got him i only fed him dry food. After doing some research i decided to complement it with some wet food. Today i put a little bit of wet food in his plate but he wasnt interested at all !! Any advice ?

He's probably gotten use to what you have him on. Id say mix in 90% dry, 10% wet so he has a taste that this thing thats cold and sticky is also food. Then slowly add more wet as he gets comfortable to a 50% 50%.

Mixing wet and dry really isn't a great idea. If you do it, make sure you take up any uneaten food after 20 mins and throw it out.

Warming the wet food up a little can help, as it makes it smellier. You can also try toppers such as FortiFlora, a little parmesan cheese, bonito flakes etc. It's just a case of perseverance, and maybe trying a few different flavours/brands until you find something he goes for.

Heating it up just a tiny bit might help bring out the aroma more.  You can also add a bit of warm water or a tiny bit of low or no salt chicken broth.  Just start slowly as it might upset his digestive system since he is not used to it.  You can add a tiny bit of kibble to the wet food but as mentioned above be sure not to let it sit out and spoil.

It may very well be the texture of it. Can you try feeding him canned food that is bits or meat chunks? I've had good luck with Whiskas pouch food, especially the turkey and giblets dinner.

Agreeing with the others above: Heating can definitely help get it nice and smelly!

Some cats aren't huge fans of wet food. Don't feel obligated to offer it all the time. I offer 1/4 can of wet to my boy every night and he only eats maybe half of it.

This is new to me - since all my cats before were totally food motivated and would gobble ANY wet food I put down.

Just like people cats have their preferences!

Offer it occasionally, heating it up and/or adding some water. It he becomes interested try switching flavors now and then to keep him interested! =D

I heat my cats good by putting it in warm water, instead of putting it in a microwave.

Put a little on a plate next to the dry. Let him get used to seeing it there. My cat is also a very difficult eater. Literally took months to get him to eat cat food at all completely....this side-by-side food thing really helps him switch between foods or brands.
