I will do that asap. She just gave birth to the 3rd. She was growling while doing it, and is sitll growling while cleaning the kitten. Even when im not around, I can hear it. She left the placenta on this one. Should I snip it? Its been 10 minutes  Shes cleaning herself now and not paying attention to the 3 kittens. Is this normal? It almost seems shes getting ready to give birth to the 4th and is so annoyed she cant be with the other kittens shes growling ( shes hearing the mew).. Idk why but she goes outside her box to gives birth than brings them back in.
Beautiful example.  She doesnt wants to soil the nest...  This is why she tries to do the soily part outside the nest.

And yes, her behavior is normal, as she is still in labor, and apparently has some pains...  So she doesnt have time nor energy for the already born...

Its now in part your charge.

Yes, you can now snip off the placenta.  To be on the safe side, use a not sharp scissor, or even your own nails to sear the cord off.

There is hardly any blood left, so you dont need to bind off the cord with tooths tread.   But if you do have tooth tread,  bind off iwth it, and sear off - with nails if so is.

yes, some blood is normal, and quite some red colored discharges.

flowing living blood is no good.

k i did it with my nail. it was pretty tough, like a chicken tendon, to break off. I did it like an inch away from the kittens stomach, so theres still some hanging off. Is that okay?

i tried weighing them when she was preoccupied with the 4th, they are all mewing a lot, i think thats why shes pretty restless right now. she started growling more and they started meowing more, so i think i will wait a little longer to weigh them? i got one though, it weighed 82 grams. that is underweight, right? i should add she is a pretty tiny queen, along with the male that bred with her ( the only one )

82 isnt much, but its in the boundaries of the normale.  The lower segment to be sure, but still the normale.   Are they babies fully haired and reasonably rounded?

. Is it normal she is ignoring the kittens and just laying outside the den sleeping? How long do you tnink before she should go start nursing them. I got a chance to weigh the 3. The 4th is clung to her right now.
Smallest- 74grams
2nd- 83 grams
3rd - 93 grams
They look normal, maybe a bit skinny. Ill post pictures of them in a minute!

The weights are on the smller side of normal. She should begin nursing shortly. If she does not, then please tell us. You'll have to supplement. Just do not let her out of the room she is in. Do you have her food, water, and litter pan in there too?

Yes I have everything in the same room. She has been eating fantastically for the entire pregnancy. Where is a good place to get milk to feed the kittens? Or do I make it myself? . I put a blanket in front of her and all the kittens, and now they are all suckling. Thanks for all the help by the way.. A stressful experience but seeing the kittens alive is amazing.

So glad she is nursing them! Mom's milk is always best!

Aren't you glad you brought her in now?

You'll need to pick up a can of powdered KMR at Walmart or a pet store. Also ask for a 1 or 2 mL syringe at a pharmacy. Go ahead and get this kitten formula in case you need it. You can mix some for mama kitty to drink. The kittens can drink it when weaning.

Also, How can I tell they are actaully getting milk? Im guesing they would not be suckling this long if nothing was coming out.. Should I be supplementing them along with mom feeding them? Or just have mom feeding them?

They can deliver more kittens hours or days apart, or she may just feel lumpy from pregnancy until her uterus shrinks.

The suckling makes the milk come in and it's usually colostrum the first day or two. Do not interfere if the kittens are nursing.

She just had a still birth for the 5th. Unfortunetly it came out dead =(. Looks like a lot more fluid came out this time as well with it. Its strange, this dead one seems abnormally long compared to the other 4.

when I say abnormally long, I mean it was a lot bigger than the other ones. Mainly longer in size though.

I'm sorry it was stillborn. She should settle down now with her existing kittens.
