National Chicken Wing Day!

Facebook is telling me it is National Chicken Wing Day. :lol3:


So, do you like chicken wings? How do you like them?





I'm not a fan. I don't like eating the skin or fighting with bones. I'm more of a boneless tender kind of person. :lol3:

I'm a vegetarian with vegan tendencies. Enough said 

I love them. Spicy ones with blue cheese to dip them in and come celery on the side. 

OOoooohhhhhhhh!     I LOVE wings! Just LOVE wings!

My favorite way to make them here at home is to make Louisville Wings. It's a Stephen Raichlen recipe that is out of this world good. It uses bourbon in the wing sauce. And the wings are grilled, not fried. I always make room on the grill for wings. 

My favorite place to go for wings is Quaker Steak. That's really the only wing place around here. Their Atomic Wings are delicious, but man, they're hot! They have the standard gimmick where you have to sign the waiver before you can order them. They make my eyes water, but oh, they are so good. We were there one time with my brother and SIL; when my Atomic Wings came, my brother took a big whiff and he said he was glad he was sitting down. It took his breath away. I think they now have two kinds of wings that are hotter yet than the Atomic Wings, but we've not been there in a while now. I like spice and I like heat.

There are some other restaurants that have Wing Night, things like that. We've been to them during Wing Night, but they're nothing to really write home about.

We are getting a Buffalo Wild Wings; the restaurant is being built now. Rick has been to a BWW and he likes them. I've never been to one.

I love, love, love wings!

I like them any possible way imaginable.  Buffalo, Asian, fried, BBQ, doesn't matter.

I make a good oven baked version of Buffalo wings with homemade blue cheese dressing.  Needless to say, this is not a regular on our home menu.  

I love wings.  Since I don't have them very often I go ahead and either get or make fried ones.  I don't care for them real hot but a little heat is good.  I also like Asian flavors and honey barbecue.  Probably because I don't get real hot ones I don't really care for blue cheese dip with them.

Oh man...I love wings.  I don't know if it's possible to be from my home town and NOT love wings!  

We don't order them often; but my favorite are a mild/medium spicy wings to go with pizza.  They need to be fried.  The ones with the thick skins are disgusting and NOT wings IMHO.  That's chicken.  Wings implies a good tasty outside; not thick rubbery skin!    After being here for 20 years; we've finally found a 2nd pizza place that makes good wings like from my hometown.  Both restaurants are small, independent places and make great pizza (and other dishes) too.   When we have gone home to visit family; my Gram would always say to call when we reached a certain city on our route so she would know when to order the pizza and wings!   In the days before cell phones; she would order when we got there.  That pizza place had a chicken wing pizza for a while too.  It was SO tasty!!!   

Oh yes, I do love chicken wings, lots and lots of them. I love them cooked on the grill, plain or with barbecue sauce.

They can be okay if they are cooked well enough. I can't handle them if the skin is soft and blubbery. 

I'm not the biggest fan ever of them... but I do not like the super spicy ones. A little heat is ok. I really like the ones my mom make with BBQ sauce. She makes spicy ones, too but I prefer to eat the BBQ ones. We just got a Buffalo Wild Wings here & I'd probably pick honey mustard sauce or something on them. They have numerous sauces to choose from. I haven't been there yet (or ever lol) but my parents have and really liked it!

I make fake chicken wings....boneless skinless thighs marinated in buttermilk and hot sauce, then I coat in mayo mixed with powdered hot pepper, rolled again in spicy panko crumbs (more powdered red pepper, salt pepper, paprika ). Spray with Pam and put on well buttered baking pan at 375° til done .
