Hi, we have a cat that is really close to having a litter or kittens.  This is not her first litter she had a litter while we were gone doing our job and it was also my birthday so it was really nice to have new kittens on my birthday but the next day we saw her on the cough right in front of where she her kittens and was avoiding them.  she would go outside and when we put them outside she would want to come inside.  she was a little young but she is older now and has watched her mommy take care of a litter that she had to.  do any of you think that she will take care of this one i don't want another litter to die because of what happened above.  i would send a picture but i don't have one at the moment.  Please if anyone has an idea if she will take care of this litter please let me know.

I have no idea.  She probably will take care of them.  there was a feral cat in our neighborhood who abandoned her first litter last summer.  She is taking care of the litter she had this spring.  If she doesn't you will have to step up and hand feed the kittens. How long ago did she have the last litter?

If she isn't that far along you could have her spayed and abort the litter at the same time.  Just mentioning possibilities.

Please do not let her take or have her litter outside.  There are predators around and not so nice people.

Her mommy had her babys outside and it also helps that someone comes out every once in a while. And it was may 8 that she had her first litter. We did not have the money to go out and buy all of the things for kitten food and milk and all of that other things. I hope she takes care of this one do you think she will?

She is going to need to have good food.  Even though she didn't take care of the last litter her body gave nutrients to the kittens as they grew.  Wet kitten food, dry kitten food and lots of water.

Can you bring her inside until she has the kittens.  That way you can keep her in a room with the kittens and she will be more likely to care for them.

If you can't afford to buy 'all that stuff' pick and choose.  Fancy Feast canned cat food isn't too expensive, The classic pate's first ingredient is meat..  Even nine lives is okay.  You can pick up a can of Pet AG powdered kitten milk replacer (KMR) at Walmart for about $10 and you can feed a little to mom as well as use it  if you need to jump in and feed the kittens.  Sometimes the mom takes a day to figure out how to care for the kittens.  Ask at the pharmacy for a small needleless syringe 1 -2 ml/cc.  They will probably just give it to you.

the thing is that my mom does not want her in the house because of the last time she had babys.  the only cat we have inside is one that my dad say get dropped off at a pig.  my mom does not want her in the house anymore or really any cat from the outside in the house.  but last time we did not do anything for them because my my mom looked up cat leukemia and she had all of the symptoms and we though that she was going to die as well but she did not and she is still here.

Doesnt sounds as any merry situation...  Its just to do your best, and try to talk your parents over.

Spaying is a GREAT friend, especielly if you = your parents arent interested in any more kittens...   But here its too late for this.  Next time perhaps, eh?
