My female tabby is 1 1/2 years old, doesn't always get "snacks", but understands the word and comes running when we offer them. She has always loved canidae grain free salmon treats, but the recent batch we bought just causes her to turn up her nose. Has anyone else has this problem recently? Is it possible its a different recipe? I feel awful, I keep offering "snack" she gets so excited, comes running to her snack bench, and then won't eat, and looks at me like I'm the jerk.

Could be a bad batch or maybe your cat just doesn't like them anymore
Try a different bag of treats with a different lot number if possible. And try other treats for variety.

I have one cat who would NEVER eat treats, and I always felt bad for him because he would get left out at "treat time" - but I could never find anything that he liked.......UNTIL I got some of those PureBites freeze-dried chicken treats!  All the cats go crazy for those, even my one supremely picky eater!   If you're in the market for a new treat, try a bag of those.    My picky non-food-driven cat loves em and it's also something I feel good about giving as a treat, since the only ingredient is freeze-dried chicken so it doesn't have any junky crap in it

Thx for the help, I will give that a try, it's so sad to see how excited she gets for snack time, and then looks at me so depressed.

LTS3 and Jolie thx for your advice, never knew about lot numbers, and will give freeze dried chi a shot, just want to make sure I'm feeding her healthy stuff, not processed junk.

Freeze dried meat and fish treats are very healthy
Look for the ones that are 100% meat or fish with nothing else. Pure Bites is a popular brand and there are many others: Whole Life, Halo Liv A Littles, Real Food Toppers,, Bravo, WildSide Salmon, etc. Some people buy the dog version of Pure Bites. It's the exact same thing as the cat ones, just in a larger bag and the pieces are larger which you just break up into smaller pieces.

And buy the dog size large bag from chewy.com or amazon it is same and much better deal. And you have one healthy snack for dog and cat. I sprinkle dust at bottom of bag on food if they act
Fussy. Nothing is wasted. My cats prefer big chunks, like prey I guess. I am on auto ship with 2 (soon to be 3 cats) and one dog.
