Need help caring for an incontinent cat

I need help...I have never taken care of an incontinent cat before and it turns out I am causing him harm...I did not know i wasnt supposed to bathe him  and thats the reason he keeps getting urine burn and infections....how do I care for him without hurting him again?

Were you bathing him for a specific reason? like fleas? Cats will groom (clean) themselves. Aside from food and water and play and love, they are very independent.

If you haven't taken him/er too the vet, you should. They can prescribe a better flea treatment than bathing if he is old enough.
