Hey guys! Im new to this site but it has helped me alot throughout my cat "Minnie" through her pregnancy, i do believe she has a week or two left as all symptons of nesting, cleaning herself often, eating more and being very restless to where she lays (she oftens like my tiled floor as its cold) But i have a serious question to how do i know if shes going into labour as she has been constant with me lately and want me by her side 24/7 (its her first litter.. shes only one and a half yrs old) Any suggestions

@Dvsldn   have supplies ready.

Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) Available at pet stores and vets. I'm not sure where else in the UK.

A small needleless syringe 1-2 ml/cc you can get it at a pharmacy or your vet

A scale measures in grams

pedialyte, unflavored

a heat source - heating pad, hot water bottle, sock filled with raw rice (can be microwaved).

blunt scissors

dental floss.

You may not need all of these but if you don't have them handy you usually wind up looking for them.

This article is a good overview of the process.

there are more articles regarding specific topics at the top of this forum.

She is getting close to delivering.  Look for her to 'drop' she will appear slimmer and the kittens will move lower between her legs; lose her mucus plug and her water to 'break - could be a slow leak or lots at once.
