No, these are not the symptoms of Cat Flu.  Cat flu is upper respiratary, like a cold.  Sneezing, that type of thing.   I wouldn't NOT think something like mouth cancer would affect BOTH cats.  Liver Failure certainly could effect both cats, IF they both completely stopped eating for several days...unlikely though.  Usually for something to affect both cats it would have to be something either contagious, or something they consumed.

We DO love pictures of cats, although I don't think it will help with determining  what is wrong with them

True, I see your point about the mouth cancer and liver failure part. And thanks for telling me about the cat flu. They must've eaten something bad, but I'm unsure what it would be. My room's usually very tighty so something like this doenst happen.

And alright forget the picture then I thought it would help

I found this. Perhaps it's bile? I'm uncertain if it's true or not since it was the older brother first, and then the younger brother started doing it too. They seem to be nibbling their food, but not eating a lot... and they seem to be able to keep down the water.. I'm at my wits end here but I'll keep searching.

I do not think you will be able to find out what is bothering these guys. The internet is full of things that can scare you. The best thing is a Vet exam.

I did not mean to surrender your cats voluntarily, especially if the humane societies are questionable.

Is there an ASPCA around you? Or could you contact the main number?

Can you call a Vet to ask about options? like payments, or someway to help you...They may be more helpful than we are....

We love to see pictures of out kitties.  Unfortunately, pictures cannot help at this point. If the vomit is green or yellow, that means bile and is really bad.

There could be so many things that they could have gotten into...it is impossible to tell at this point. If it is plastic, then they could still have some in their bowels, even causing a blockage...

I agree with mrsgreenjeans, these symptoms are not cat flu or a cat cold.  most likely they ate something that was harmful to them. They need the doctor.  Sky back legs is a very serious thing to happen...

Good Luck with getting help....

How are they doing today?

Did you have a chance to look over the "When you can't afford a vet" link?

I really do agree with the others that they need to be seen by a vet.

good luck. :hugs:

I'm really worried for these poor babies. I really hope things have improved and that you've been able to pinpoint the cause. If  vet bills are really an issue it might be worth checking out some of these organisations

AW hun...... I am broken hearted over your situation and give you high praise for coming here to ask for help/advice. I also do not want to sound harsh because I know you are trying your little heart out to get help for you cats. Bottom line is that these two cats are in great distress and suffering and potentially this could turn bad very, very quickly and I would not want that for you. If you parent's are not caring enough to save these cats and get the medical attention, then you must find another way around it and potentially relinquish them to save them. Taking in cats into our homes and lives comes with great responsibility and expense when they need medical attention. You sound very intelligent in your posts and I hope that you can discuss this with your parent's and let them know there is no other choice in the matter at this point.

You have not posted in a couple of days and we are concerned and wondering what that could mean. Hoping to hear a positive update from you on your dear little kitties. Hoping no news means good news. :cross: :cross: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes:

Good news every one, so sorry for not responding I decided to go on a trip over states to a friend of mine. Her mom's a vet and offered to look at them for a very low price. I just got back today and I'm very happy to say they are both feeling much better! Currently they're taking some pills to help with indigestion and irritation, and they are in much better shape. Thank you so much to everyone of you for your help and caring, and putting up with the difficulties. I appreciate it very much and so does my boys, thank you all so much again!

Its great that you were able to find an affordable route to veterinary care - even if it was  a bit of  a trek! Good to hear the cats are now on the mend

Adding in my relief as well. phew!!! Good thinking on checking with your friend's mother who is a vet. I hope that you are able to find a vet closer to you and in the future, just so you know, you can sign up for Care Credit through most vets. Bringing pets into our homes/hearts and lives is inevitably going to cost money and lots of it especially when they become ill or have emergencies. It's the way it is. It's our responsibility when we take in these loving animals to properly care for them. I wish you all the best going forward and hope that you are successful in working this all out with your parent's. It will happen again and you will want to be prepared for the next time. ALL MY BEST to you and your kitties!!! :hugs: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes:
