Hi,

Pus(Yellow substance) is coming from my cat's eye. My cat is very afraid of fights but yesterday night, another tom cat came to our house and it attacked my cat. I noticed pus in my cat's left eye today morning. i cleared with a soft cloth. I have given him amoxicillin. There is no vet near my area.

Kindly advice if what to do besides this. Also my cat ate its cat food in normal amount.

Looking forward for your usual help.

Thanks.

I know you say there is no vet nearby, but I really think a vet check is the only safe option when dealing with an eye injury. Eyes can go bad fast - they're not something to take any chances with. I honestly don't think an oral antibiotic will be enough.

Pus coming already now suggests its a rather aggressive bacteria...  So if you do have ANY option of getting vet care its wise.

Also, if you clear of the eye, use saline water.  Its somewhat antibacterial, and used in hospitals too.   A little messy yes, but works.

Ie clean water with some salt in...  Alike one tea spoon in a liter water, boil, cool down to room temperature.
