Hello, my 5 month old kitten third eyelid is showing in only one eye. She was fine when I left for work this morning so i noticed it right away when i got home. She is not acting any different then she normally does, playful as ever. She does have a bit of a history with allergies but all she does is sneeze, never had a problem with her eyes. I do have an older cat and they do tend to play/fight but nothing bad enough for any one to be seriously injured. I'm thinking that she might have had her eye scratched but i can't see anything because the third eyelid is in the way.

Any advice from anyone who has had this problem?

The third eyelid is almost covering more than 50% of the eye! AW poor dear. Do not wait and get her to the vet asap. Eye injuries, if this is one, need to be tended immediately. IF this is from allergies or the herpes virus then it is not as serious and can be treated but again, this needs to be seen by your vet. Let us know how it turns out. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I'd just started on a reply when this came up. I couldn't have put it better myself. Any eye problems warrant urgent treatment, as they can go bad surprisingly quickly. I hope the vet visit goes well
