It's normal to have some bleeding with birthing kittens. And it's normal for them to spot for a few days afterwards. It should just be drops that turn less red and gets less and less. Keep an eye on her and keep us updated.

How are the new kittens? Are they nursing well?

Blood looks totally normal, you will see small amts over the next few days, no worries there unless it's like a puddle.

Babies are good, nice colors, and the bedding under them is quite wet and soiled and does need to be changed out right away.

Glad things are going well!

Lovely colouring - they'll be able to find homes easily.
Here where I live we have a new law where all kittens must be desexed before rehoming - which is great but it's going to cost me an arm and a leg when my rescue girl gives birth lol.

I plan on taking them all there is a place here that will do it for $35 each which is great to me. So soon as they are old enough I will be getting it done. Here's a picture this morning before I changed the sheets so don't mind the mess lol

[emoji]128513[/emoji] mama is doing great! She's such a good mommy...I really think at first she was just over whelmed but now she's a pro. [emoji]128526[/emoji] she's eating really good and the babies are gaining a good amount of weight. I will post pics in about 2 weeks [emoji]128077[/emoji][emoji]127996[/emoji]

Do they feel hot to the touch and does she seem to be in pain?

If it is just from nursing, you can rub a little olive or veggie oil on them to help soothe, or get some udder cream.

That looks like mastitis to me. It looks painful! You'll need to take the cat to the vet ASAP for antibiotics and a topical cream or it likely won't get better.

Is she still letting the kittens nurse?

I will check them as soon as I get back home. I feel bad she never leaves the kittens side so they are always feeding and never give her a break. She doesn't seem like she is in pain she's acting normal. I just thought they looked painful and not sure if that's how they should look
