Hi Everyone :wavey:

Today's question is ........

Do you have any bad habits ?

I crack my knuckles :slant:
I try not to do it in front of people but sometimes I forget. Then I get told off as people hate the sound of it :uuh:

No. I am perfect.

OK OK.   I allegedly bite my fingernails.

Nothing works. The rubber band on the wrist, hot sauce ( I love hot sauce), painting them, even acrylics only work for a day or so and those ruin my nails. The only thing left to try may be hypnosis.

I crack my knuckles too...and my right shoulder. I'm sure I have tons of other bad habits too, but I can't seem to think of any of them right now
At least I no longer smoke!

I cuss worse than a sailor. In one long streak. Sometimes, when I'm really angry, if you disregard all the swear words? I've said nothing. I'd like to say that it comes from all those years of working in a paper factory with the guys. But I'd be lying through my teeth.

Same here. Being from a very cosmopolitan area, and having worked in environments which were extremely male oriented in my early years taught me I had to dish it as best as I could to keep up with people.  The garment industry in my 20's was the worst of it.  Utter pigs.

I think I've gotten better as I get older but I still have a pretty foul mouth at times.  Combine that with being menopausal and well, let's just say my speech can get colorful at times

:lol3: I used to cuss like crazy too - though I'm better than I used to be. In fact, I think TCS has had a positive impact on my language, as I can't swear in posts! An unexpected benefit of joining this site :D

I'm very critical of poor grammar, spelling errors, etc. While I don't say anything to whoever I'm listening to (other than my husband), it just drives me crazy. In my mind I just want to correct them, but I always stop myself.

Yep, me too. It's like I have Tourettes Syndrome sometimes. I'd like to be able to defend that by saying that my Dad actually was a sailor, but he never swore in front of us when we were growing up.

My other bad habit is counting alcohol as a food group and thinking half a bottle of wine is an acceptable alternative to dinner.

Yes, me too. It drives me crazy when pepole constantly spell words wrong (even more when they do it on purpose).

mine would be staying up too late, going to bed later than i should. i'm an early riser most days, so staying up too late means i won't get enough sleep. like tonight, it's ten til one in the morning here and i definitely should have been in bed asleep hours ago.

I also can't bear bad grammar.
And I go to bed at 12.30am every night, more or less. It's now 4.10am and I'm still at it.
I'm finding it hard to be nice to my ex. He's a good person just gets on my nerves. Shouldn't really. He spoils me.

I did.  The first real job I ever had was for a company in NYC that manufactured textiles.  I worked directly with salesmen to assist in placing sample orders, coordinating overseas shipments, etc.   I say "men" because in the late 70's there were NO women in this position.

My dad was in the business too. Worked for a coat company that was pretty well known in those days. As a kid, I had a new beautiful coat every year. That continued until my 20's, when I moved out of the area.  My father was known as a gentleman to all.  He was very well liked and I'm sure a lot of that had to do with him respecting his female co-workers and not using inappropriate language/comments for anyone.

That's nice. It's nice having dads you can be proud of.
My mum's family were tailors, sherman.
Our shofar blower told me my grandfather was a gentle man which I new from my mum. I remember a particular coat one of my uncle's made me. It was cherry red with white specs. I used to pretend it was snow!!!
