First time cat owner

I'm Laura and new to cat owning. Comet is my 8 month old male American Tiger short hair therapy cat. He helps with my anxiety and panic disorder. Looking forward to getting to know people here and getting advice and tips on owning a cat

Welcome to TCS!   You have come to the right place to learn about cats and to talk about Comet.  He's a beautiful cat.  I have never actually known anyone with a therapy cat but can well believe they would do a great job at helping.  Do you take him out or does he work his magic primarily at home?

He works his magic mostly at home. I live in an apartment building so sometimes he comes outside with me to socialize with other people.
