Some of his ear is "ripped" (don't know the right english way to explain it). He might have had a fight with a cat?

I will take him to the vet later this week. Don't have car, so need to wait for when I can get a lift.

Also, he haven't used the litterbox since he came home. That's like 16 hours ago. Should I be worried? He haven't been much awake though.

I think he will use the litter box soon. It may take a day or so for his body to adjust to a steady diet again.

OH MY GOODNESS!
I teared up while reading this. I'm SO happy to hear that he's back! YES!!!

I am so happy for you both, and he looks like he's relieved to be back with you! Look at him laying with his arms up above his head!

:woohoo:
What fantastic news! This literally made my day! I am so happy for you and your little buddy. He looks super happy and relaxed to be back home- the upside down kitty position is a dead give away. :D You did such a wonderful job searching for him and I am glad he found a safe garden to shelter in these last few days. It sounds like he missed you and loves you very much. It breaks to heart to think of you wondering if he would even recognize you a few days ago. I think the answer to that is super obvious now! Congratulations!

I just thought of something - you said his ear is ripped, which is probably from a fight with another cat. If there is a good, clean scab on the injury, don't try to disinfect it. As long as there is no infection, it is better to leave the scab alone because it will hopefully help the two pieces of ear to heal back together. Removing the scab may cause the two sides of the injury heal separately, leaving a split. Of course, if it is red, oozy or irritated, it needs to be disinfected.
The group of ferals I used to care for got a lot of ear injuries, so I've seen a lot of ear rips. It's mostly an aesthetic thing, but we like our boys to stay as handsome as possible. :)

Thanks everyone :D

I had been very worried about him for the last days. He has been breathing very fast.

But I just went to the vet, and she said he was just fine.

It has been very hot though, so I guess that is why he has been breathing fast.

I'm so happy to have him home, and thank you all for keep inspiring me. It helped me keep the hope up ^^

Do you have a fan you can run to cool the room?

Keep an eye on his breathing.

Cats sometimes pant like dogs when they get over heated. You can buy cooling sheets for them to sleep on but a fan would help to keep him cool too. Have you tried putting a cool wet towel down in his favourite napping spot?
