My kitten pees almost 5 times a day. Is that normal?

Yes, this is probably fine as long as this is normal for her and she is peeing normal (not just very very small) amounts. If her peeing habits have changed suddenly though it is probably best to consult a vet.

she is estimated to be about 4-5 months. Just did her spay but prior to that shes been peeing a lot. I'm not sure is the cause of it is because i usually feed her food with added water :/

Nope. Doesn't seem like she's in pain when she pees. Perfect wet and a lot of pee

Honestly, if you want to know that for sure, you will need to take her to  a vet.  I think that is unlikely in a cat of this age and based on what you described, but since you are so concerned a vet check up to air your concerns may be best.

would it be better if i were to stop adding water in her food and then observe how much she drinks out of the bowl?

wow cats are so complicated

I just thought more water = more pee @_@

@Well, more in = more out :).  Generally, it isn't necessary to add water to a cat's wet food, unless they prefer the consistency.  Given that the frequency hasn't changed it may be normal for her, but whenever a cat is peeing a lot it is a cause for concern, generally with cats a bit older than yours, but it is possible for younger cats to develop kidney issues so if it was me, i'd err on the side of caution and get her a vet visit, and if possible bring in a pee sample (free catch by holding a cup or saucer under her when she goes).

And to your question about the liver, the liver isn't generally connected to pee issues.

Is she spayed and up to date with vaccinations?

Many people add water to the canned food to ensure good water intake to try to prevent any urinary issues

I also recommend a trip to the vet to address your concerns about the frequent urination. Some kittens may just pee 5 times or more a day and that's perfectly normal for them.

The kidneys are the organs that filter waste products out the blood and dump the wastes into the bladder as urine. The liver has nothing to do with it. You could ask the vet to check your cat's kidney function if you're super concerned.

Does the pee smell abnormal in any way? Juvenile diabetes can occur but is very rare. The urine would smell very sugary and the huge pee clumps are very sticky and hard to scoop out.
