Hi all,

Thank you for all your advice on what to do about my cat spraying in the house. (for those who don't know) I had taken the difficult decision to take her back to the animal shelter I got her from because of this, after 2 and a half years of trying (what I thought) was everything. I come from a family of cat lovers, and this was the first time that any of us had given up on a cat - I have lived with cats for 25+ years and she had beaten me. But with the help and guidance from you all I did decide to go and get her back - and I haven't regretted it one bit.

Anyway, she is now back here now! She had a good sniff round at all the new carpets I had put down in her absence, went round all the edges of the rooms, looked around at the new "homes" that I have made her on shelves, in cupboards etc, then had a tin of Mackerel (spoilt cat.). She is currently hiding underneath my duvet on my bed (her favourite place, so I know she is settled back in!)

I promised some pictures, so here they are ;)

Thanks once again to you all.. Viva La Cat! :)

A big welcome home to Kitty!
She looks so happy and serene and I bet you are relieved to have her back.

I love the lump under the duvet, that's so cute!  I used to have a cat that did that - it's the ultimate cave.  Kitty is a gorgeous cat, being all black.  My Paul is a black cat, too.  I really hope the changes you have made resolve her problem.  What changes did you make, btw?  Other people dealing with cats who spray at the sight of neighborhood cats might also be interested.
