Tx, yes it helped.
So. With that face profile and short muzzle, he is probably a descendant from a persian. May also have exotic among forefathers, which are shorthaired persians, or even a british shorthair... But my guess is a persian.
A persian mixed out, the children will probably be shorthair.
The pattern is callad for Harlequin. Or if you so want, a Van pattern with some extra spots on the backside.
The color is red, or possibly créme - which is diluted red.
He seems to have the renowned M on the forehead, but as one forumist remarked to me, this really doesnt counts - all reds are tabbies too...
Exotic shorthair is what he looks like to me ( they are descended from Persians).
