Hi everyone
This is The Cat, only a few months after I got him.

And the picture below is how The Cat looks now. (I swear he's not fat, it's his fur and he's a big boy now)

The Cat's family is huge. The oldest member of the family is uncle Charlie (lives with my grandma), mother Puci (lives with my aunt), brothers Cricket (lives with my grandma) and Lucky (lives with my aunt), sisters Princess (lives with my grandma) and Little Puci (lives with my aunt). He even invited a stray cat we named Lady, who was pregnant at that time. We took care of her and she gave us four kittens: Princess Junior, Prince, Paws and Lucky Junior. We even do reuinions with all cats.  Human family consists of me, my father, my stepmom and her son. I have one older brother and sister-in-law who visits us.  So it gets crowded, but we all love each other.

The Cat is one loved, healthy cat. He used to play a lot when he was younger, but now likes to cuddle more. He usually sleeps with me, or at my parents room. We let him sleep wherever he wants (even on our beds and pillows). He's indoor / outside cat (the door is never closed when he's outside, even during the winter). He always has fresh water and food, so he eats whenever he wants to. We like to joke how we made him think that everything revolves around him. But he's a good cat who likes to show his love for us. We would never say it out loud, but yes, our world revolves around The Cat and his Puci Family

Welcome!   A splendid story, nicely written!   The whole of me feels the warmth streaming out from your family!   So your english is excellent!   Where do you live?

Re cats getting litter after litter, if you have a decent vet nearby, the remedy is easy: spaying and neutering helps a lot!

Welcome again!

Welcome!

Actually, your English is quite proper - better than some of us Americans I would say! ;)

I enjoy reading how much love and care you give to your cat. I don't mean to preach, but there are lots of homeless kitties out there who would love a home like yours! In that respect, I do agree with StefanZ that spaying is a good choice here :)

Thank you. Actually spaying is not spread in my country, and many people don't take cats to the vet. Because we're not that educated about that. I did took my cat (I don't drive, so I had to carry him in my hands), we don't have decent pet shops, but my whole family tries the best to take care of all cats. There's a saying in my family "if you don't plan to take great care about cats, you don't need one". I'm from Serbia. I'm living in south, so in my city we only have three petshops and two vets. When my cat was sick, I took him to the vet and he gave me some pills and we agreed to take him there once a month. Luckily, he's now doing great!

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Thank you very much. I use to feed homeless cats in my street a lot, but I do plan to have many, many cats in the future (when I start living alone). We don't have a proper place for homeless cats here, so I'm trying my best to always fill the bowls I put throughout my street. It's sad how many cats get killed in my city, but most of the people don't care.

There's a story how my cat "invited" homeless cat, Lady. She was scared of us at first, but we became close to her. We took care of her, and she gifted us with four little kittens. During that time, we read a lot about small kittens and how to take proper care of them. Luckily, everything was alright with them. Lady doesn't visit us a lot, but she does come sometimes.

It's understandable if the resources aren't available to help spay and neuter a colony of cats. My parents live in a very rural small area where the ferals are everywhere! So they've been feeding them and letting them live in the garage (it's gets quite cold in the winter). They would love to be a part of a trap neuter release (TNR) program but since they are considered caretakers of these cats they don't qualify for the free/low cost. Long story short that is how I got my two kittens! Thank you so much for doing your best to care for these homeless kitties :)
