So, last week we rescued a couple of kittens. A lady found a mama cat and five kittens in the mulch where she works. Three got adopted, I took the last two, and she took the mama.

Here's a couple pics from the day I got them. The little guy in the bottom pic (whose face you can actually see) is Oscar. His brother is Oliver. They are just absolutely adorable.

Here's a pic I took today from the other side of the room (hence the blur), almost a week after getting them. Oliver is the one hanging over the side there. About five minutes later he fell into the seat of the chair.

Trying to get my three older kitties acclimated to them. I have a 16-year-old boy and two 13-year-old girls. Oh, and we got a pooch the day before the kittens because yes, I'm crazy. The one girl, Maple, has been pretty my living in my bedroom because she's terrified of the new dog (Chihuahua) but they've all been around one before. My Luck-man (16 year old) sometimes plays uncle, but sometimes he doesn't really feel like it.  And Sara is, well, the queen of the house. She's letting them know it too. And the kittens are on a cycle of eat/play/sleep, rinse and repeat. Over and over. I'm sooo not used to kittens, and all the crazy things they do is coming back to mind, lol.

Anyway, that's all of them. Enjoy!

Thank you! They're currently in sleep mode somewhere in the house. It's not a gradual thing with kittens like it is with the adults. They just plot down where they are and sleep. And boy, they are DEEP sleepers! I've probably taken a few dozen more pics, so have to find some more to post on here. Hard to believe how much they've grown in just a week!

You sound like me when I was a lot younger. Five kids (human)and I bred cats lots of cats.At one stage  had no less than twenty--six! I couldn't seem to stop getting another cat. Husband put his foot down and said if I had to have cats then have decent ones! so I became a breeder of Burmese and Siamese. I was a registered show cat judge They are heaps of fun but yes so time consuming. With the five kids that somewhat evened things as they each had favourites but it is difficult finding kittens wherever they went to sleep or the kid that was playing with it left it somewhere. It was like musical chairs rounding up five kids plus one very patient husband and numerous  Mumma cats and kittens. I know sometimes the Mumma cat was feeding  the other cats kittens.
