Two of my 5 were just diagnosed with a raging coccidia infection. They are mildly dehydrated so been feeding them pedialyte with a syringe. They haven't eaten in almost 48 hours though cause their little systems are so out of whack. They were fine then all of a studen this parasite took them down fast! How can I get them to eat? In addition to albon we have just started diagel and pro pectalin plus reflan for their nausea. I'm just concerned because of the lack of food intake. One has watery bile filled diarrhea and the other is pooping an off white pasty goo (looks like budreaux's butt paste). Sorry for the details. I really need to get these girls to eat but don't know how to. Help!

Plain meat baby food, turkey or chicken mixed with some of their regular canned kitten food and added pedialyte.  Mix it like a slurry and offer it to them or syringe feed them.  If they're young enough, you can add KMR.

Thank you. Used baby food with pumpkin for the first kitten that had this several months back. She was still eating on her own though. I also wondered if it is normal for coccidia to cause bulgin of the third eyelid. My little orange guy isn't looking so hot tonight. His kids are protruded which is how the tabby started. They are all on medicine but poor babies. I'm so worried for them. My little brown tabby has lost all control of her bowels.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't have any baby food on hand tonight so I mixed together some canned pumpkin with pedilyte and fortiflora. One kitty only ate it from the dropper. The other took a dropperful then drank it right out of the dish on her own! I'm doing this about every 45 minutes through the night and through tomorrow or until they are eating regularly again. The second time I took the slur in I didn't have to syringe feed the older girl and the little baby showed some interest although I did have to syringe feed. Hoping to see continued improvement throughout the night.
