She wasnt anything like this with her last litter at all but its really worrying me shes my baby and I don't like seeing her so different

How are the kittens?   Are they fed and warm?   If she leaves them for too long you might need to look at a little heat pad or something for them.

Does your cat need to get out or can you keep her indoors while she has the kittens?  There might be some health issue for her from the birth or with feeding, or being in heat again and it is important to know in case she needs help caring for the kittens.   Will she let you near to look at her and feel her belly area?

It's not unusual for a mama cat to stay near her kittens. My cat did not come downstairs very much at all after she had her kittens. I put her food, water, and litter box in the room with her, and I was in and out a lot.

But is she nursing them well? If she goes more than 24 hours without eating she needs to see a vet.

What are you feeding her?

Do you plan to spay her after this litter? Some cats do not enjoy motherhood. It is a lot of work.

Goodness! I wonder how a stray tom made his way into the bedroom? Was a window left open? It's no wonder she was nervous!

Glad you got that sorted out and have spay plans already determined.

It sounds as though all is well now with mom and kitties. :)

Im not sure I understand what you EXACTLLY did describe.   Was she guarding the nest like a hawk against the tom,  or was she out and about a while, not seen by you, while the tom was in immediate vicinity?

I mean, there is some risk they did mated.   Females may get in heat already one week after delivery, and its not uncommon they do sneak out to a courting tom outside.  Or even go and seek him out, may take even two days before they return.

But if in full heat, a tom may very well felt her, and come in...   If he is experienced or they do know each other from earlier, it may be a matter just of a minute or two...

Analyse.  It may be so you must spay her very soon now.
