Cat developed fever after antibiotics

Hi, I am new here and am very anxious about my cat. She has had diarrhea for 4 days but her appetite was ok and she was not dehydrated or in obvious pain. I took her to the vet and the vet gave her antibiotics. I am so worried now. She is now feverish and has lost her appetite. She's also aggressive when touched. What can I do? Is fever normal after antibiotics? Please do give advice  I love my cat.

It's common for antibiotics to cause upset tummies, which would make the kitty not to eat.  However, the aggression concerns me.  I'd call an ER vet or call the vet's office and listen for information on what to do after hours.  Sounds like she might be having a reaction to the medication.

My goodness your poor cat seems like she feels miserable.

For appetite, try offering her her favorite foods, for some cats plain turkey/chicken baby food is a go-to when they don't want to eat. Wet food is a good idea too.

I would do what stephanietx said too. She should be getting better not worse after antibiotics. How long has it been since the antibiotics? If they were just given earlier today, it might just be taking a while to get the illness under control. You should still call anyway.
