Read an old thread ...sad one re a kitten with foam coming out of mouth, followed by rapid death. Thread was old and closed after 6 years...but people were still having issues of course with the same problem...foam coming out of the mouth. Most people suggested they thought the deceased kitten may have eaten insect bait, had distemper...etc. Most thought a type of poison must have been the cause.
The one thing I did not see any mention of were plants! Kittens and cats need to eat some grass or other types of veggies (some like peas, cooked green beans, or other veggies---never grapes or raisins of course, which can kill them). House cats will eat on house plants. Some will be fine and may help them gag up and clear out a sour bug they have just eaten---same as grass will do . However, other plants are extremely toxic to our pals--like the philodendron and others in the Genus.
Bottom line...if your cat or kitty is spewing bubbly foam it is often a sign they have ingested some type of toxic substance. Keep and eye on him/her and get them in to see a vet if they are avoiding water/food.
By the way...goes for dogs too. I'm always amazed re how many students don't know you shouldn't feed dogs and cats grapes or raisins!
Best to you from the ranch!
