Right, so basicallh my cat has had some seriously smelly and loose stool. Not so loose that it is diarohea but still not a fully formed poop.

She is 13 years old and recently been to the vets as she was acting out of sorts. She was given a 2 week antibiotic as she had a temperature and has appeared fine except for her poo. Shes not even covering it with the litter. I have her back on senior food with very little wet food. It is a different brand but shouldnt be causing this.

Anyone got any ideas?

Antibiotics are notorious for causing loose bowel movements. That may well be the root of the problem. She may benefit from some probiotics to put the good bacteria back into her system. I often give plain live goat's yogurt for a week or so after antibiotics - its easy, gentle on a sensitive tummy and is cheaper than probiotics usually.

A little plain canned pumpkin can also help to firm things up again - 3tsp a day is the usual amount.

If her bowel movements don't normalise over the next week or so, I'd call the vet for more advice.

Hope she feels better soon :vibes:
