My calico lady had her kittys on 2nd June they're close to moving to new homes but I'd love to keep the male Kitty, their dad is also my cat (now neutered) my question is will having the baby grow up here be ok with daddy? He's around all the babies and just watches and sniffs them he's so laid back. I don't want fights tho as baby matures what do u think?
Also wondered the vet said mama can be neutered when they stop suckling and her milk dries up, they eat well on cat food but how do u know if milk has dried up??

she will still produce milk after she is spayed.  You can get her spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old.

You may want to keep 2 kittens so he has a playmate.

I can't keep 2, I have their parents plus another female already, I'm not sure I can say bye to this little boy though!
I'm hoping he and his dad will get on well

If you get him neutered soon before his hormones develop they should get along fine.

At the two-pound mark, which usually occurs around 8-10 weeks old. He will also bounce back from surgery very quickly at this age! :)

Many private vets refuse to do it this early, but almost all rescue organizations and Humane Societies perform it this early. I had my litter of 3 male kittens and 1 female done early. They are 17 weeks old now and very sweet kittens. Busy, but sweet! :)

I would like to suggest you have him neutered at about 4 to 5 months of age. That way his urinary system will be fully developed, that is why private vets prefer to not neuter them that young.
