It's been a week since I ordered my coloring stuff from Amazon and the status is still "not shipped"   I have no idea why it's taking so long to process my order of two books, a pencil sharpener, and colored pencils all of which are listed as in stock. The last order update said that my order is estimated to arrive between July 27 and July 31 instead of between July 31 and Aug. 5. Getting kind of antsy for my order. :frusty:
Have you been in touch with customer service?

I am having the same issue! I ordered 2 coloring books, a sharpener, and colored pencils. I got one coloring book with sharpeneer within a few days. I got the other book yesterday, but the colored pencils are still "on route'!! How long does it take to get a pack of simple colored pencils!!

I probably should have gone to the local Target or Michaels to get them!! But I was busy this week, stressed out and could have really used them!!

Amazon has a distribution center in the next city. It opened a few weeks ago. They are not using UPS around here. They have employees who deliver the items. i saw one in a Rental Van!!! Who knows where my pencils are???

not happy

Thought I'd share a few photos, gives folks an idea of the various sorts of books available.

My dog jerked my hand with the gray marker and put that dot below one eye.  Since it is marker, I don't think I can do anything to remove it.

The entire dress below is colored in; my scanner just didn't pick up the color; I tried a few times with different settings.  But you get the idea.

I messed up the skin on this one, and no idea how to repair it.  I'm afraid an eraser would just smudge the mess I already have.  The face is colored pencils only, no markers.

Was it stuff sold BY Amazon or a third party seller?? Amazon is so good about shipping. If it is from them directly, call them or do an online chat with them. They will do something to make it right. They always do. I ordered a hand truck from them back in 2013 that I needed to move my DD's things into the dorm. It was on the second floor with NO elevator.
We have a 70 pound mini fridge that I was NOT about to lug up 2 flights of stairs with only her to help me. I placed the order with Amazon (we have Prime. It was Prime eligible. I don't order anything from them that isn't unless there is NO other option). It was supposed to arrive 3 days before the move in day. The day before that, I get an email that the order was cancelled because the item was no longer in stock. I went to the website, it showed IN STOCK. I was livid. I called them. The girl I talked to was SO nice (they ALL are!). I told her why I needed the item. She told me to find another one and they'd ship it overnight for free. I told her the only one close to the one I wanted was about $30 more expensive. She asked if it was sold by Amazon. I said yes. She said OK. Order it and I will match the price to the cancelled one and still ship it overnight for free. I did. She did. It showed up the next day. Amazon is the gold standard for customer service IMO. Who else pays for return shipping for a returned item AND schedules a UPS pickup for you if you want so all you have to do is rebox the item and leave it on the steps? No one that I know of. They also credit you the $ back when UPS lets them know that they have the item. They don't wait until it gets back and gets processed like everyone else does.

The books and pencil sharpener are sold by Amazon. The colored pencils are a third party seller through Amazon.

On chat with Amazon now.....

That happens in my area, too. A guy in a SUV drops Amazon packages off in my building. I've met him a few times late last year while waiting in the entryway on my crutches to be picked up. Sometimes UPS will deliver Amazon packages as well but they have a key to get inside the lobby where packages are more secure.

@Freedom, love your colored drawings

Amazon chat response: "Thanks and I've checked the order, For free shipping, your order will be delivered within 5-8 business days.We process and ship your order in the most cost-efficient way possible so we can pass the savings on to you in the form of free shipping. I am very positive that you will receive the order ontime."

So order placed on July 18 has until July 26 (8 days later) to ship  out of Amazon. This is regular shipping, not Prime. So I still have a few more days of waiting. Now I'm really looking forward to a box of goodies

Yup, I am still waiting for the pencils...I am looking at the tracking and it says---on it's way......sigh..

I guess I will just have to catch up on some tv shows I recorded!!

It is a blah day here, and the traffic is really miserable. I live near the beach and there is a sand sculpting festival down the other end of the beach. Traffic is bummper to bumper. Good day to stay home. I will check out the sculptures Monday or Tuesday. Besides, I am emotionally wiped out from this month.  Just feeling drained all over...too much stress this month....

Nice to see some more dfferent designs @Freedom.  Is one of them an 'Old Fashioned Costumes' book or something?   I'm sure I've seen that one on line but no examples of what was inside.

@LTS3   I am quite shocked at how long your order is taking.  I only placed my order with Amazon UK on Thursday night / Friday morning for regular shipping and it all arrived at my work this morning bar the sharpner that is being dispatched by paid postage from the US.

I'll have to take some photos of the books I've got, I am really pleased with them.  All but the one I got from my housemate's work were on offer on Amazon UK: the paper and print quality is very good and the designes are all varied and intricate which is what I was looking for.

Chats 60 coloriates anti-stress

Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom

Millie Marotta's Tropical Wonderland   all from Amazon.  I bought 3 to get the free shipping.

Mesdermoiselles Cats Colouring for mindfulness was from a local book store where my friend works.

I've already started to practice with the prismacolour pencils using the Chats book.  It is really interesting trying out the different techniques as you get so much more potential for shading and texture than with pens.

Maybe it depends on the distribution center?
I'm tempted to cancel the order and do a new order to see if that does anything.

What did they say when you had them on the online chat? I've never had anything that I order from them that they sold directly take so long except the hand truck and they cancelled that order because they "didn't have it"

I posted the response above but maybe it got lost under all those lovely pictures

From the Tracking page, it says the two books and pencil sharpener will be sent together and delivery is "arriving on time" even though the status bar says "We've got your order". The colored pencils are separate (make sense since it's from a third party) but it's still supposed to arrive next week. So we'll see if anything gets shipped out tomorrow which would be day 8 after the order was placed. I did have another Amazon order that took over a week to ship but it was just after the holidays and that's a busy time for any retailer with all those returns and stuff.

Christmas in July (except I had to pay instead of Santa):

And here are some pictures from the books, just in case anybody would like to see what they look like.

Animal Designs:

Botanicals in Bloom:

Color Me Calm:

Paisley Designs (this is the only book where the pictures are back to back....might be a little difficult to use markers and not have the colors bleed through to the other page).

I'm so jealous
This order is making my anxiety worse
Maybe if I "forget" about my order it will somehow magically show up this week.

Nice box of goodies you got
Is that bigger box crayons? I've always loved Crayola crayons but my parents would never buy me them
I always had generic inexpensive crayons. At school I would use my friends' boxes of Crayolas.

The double sided page thing stinks if you plan to use markers. I can see kids using just crayons so double sided pages aren't a big deal but these are adult coloring books.

I like the two books where the pictures are the entire page. More to color

Those look great!  You will enjoy those books -- I would!  He hee.

I just looked up that paisley one; yep almost every comment is about the 2 sided.  Folks suggest photocopying if you want to use markers.  That's a nuisance, that is.  Oh, and the manufacturer says it is for ages 3 to 14.  What?????  Don't know ANY 3 year old could handle that level of detail.  Since it is from 2007, perhaps it was one of the early ones and the publisher was just getting used to adult coloring books.

Yes, that box is crayons. I think in an earlier post, I said it was 192 crayons; it's 152 crayons. I got that at Target a few weeks ago. I've always liked Crayola stuff. Cheap, but satisfying.

You know, I swear I ordered the cat coloring book, too, and that one hasn't come yet. I think it's supposed to come in this week.

I need to get some markers. But this will keep me (and my sister
) busy for a while.

Had I realized it was two-sided, I don't know that I would have bought it....need to start checking those reviews! I don't want to photocopy it because I have just cheap printer paper and it wouldn't look right anyway. That book will be colored with crayons or pencils. There is NO WAY that book is suitable for a 3-year old. 3-14 years, my foot.

Nice work, Draco!

Freedom, I like those pages....great job!
