Thank you....

yes, it is all in pencils....the prismacolor 48 set

Yours if very pretty! I love the shades of pink as a baseline.

I am not talented at all..I have never been a 'crafty' person. I have always started something and then stopped before completing a project.

I am just stressed out..

.

I find that I the coloring pages come out better when I have somewhat of a plan of what I want to accent, and the colors I want to use...

I also find, the angrier and stressed that I am, the worst results I get.. it is as if I want to just want some time of 'color crazy' pattern withiout rhyme or reason..and I go out side the lines and break pencils!   I should use the crayola pencils and very simple pictures for those..

another:

I have not taken any pictures of the bad ones..In fact, I have thrown a couple of them away...

I find that coloring is good stress relief. You can get absorbed in what you're doing and not worry about all life's junk. I think your pictures are lovely! I'm a little crafty and have been coloring a long time but I can't draw at all. Pencils are not my friend! Nice work on your pics!

Thank you for all the kind words about my work...It is kind of like a work of art!!  Ha ha!!

I am going to wash the dishes, then back to coloring with some classical music, and a scented candle in front of me..I will do that for an hour or so....

I have always said that I cannot draw a straight  line with a ruler! That is how talented I am/am not!!

Nice pictures, Artiemom

I started on the next image in the book which is a cat surounded by fish.

A friend sent me two coloring books as gifts

The images in both books look fun to color

Loving the completed spaceship design @LTS3.   I recently had a birthday and a friend gave me 2 colouring books too - a Japanese design one and a Can't Sleep one.  Both have great pictures in them.  It's funny how I choose different things depending on how I feel so it is great having lots of different books to look through and select from.

I have been busy colouring but not taken photos recently.  I will though.

I finished the cat and sea creatures:

Then I started  on this one:

It was late afternoon when I took the picture so the colors look a bit off. There's still a bit more coloring to do.

LTS3,

You are so talented!!   Great coloring!!!

I did finish a mandela the other night. I am not happy with it. I decided to use the least used pencils I have in the pack; also, I was angry when I was doing it.  I think it came out a mess. Colored outside the lines, not blended well, etc......I wrote on the back of, "angry"..........

Thought I'd post this, seems an excellent price, Prismacolor Manga 23 color set on Amazon.  $12.48 and free shipping on orders over $35.

I just can't figure out what a 'manga' pencil is vs. the premier!

As far as I can tell, Manga refers to a colour palette only. I've seen it in different brands, and applied to pens as well as pencils.

I think it's a style of Japanese cartoon. I'm happy to be corrected though ;)

I think Columbine is right, that it refers to the colour palette.  It's an interesting mix - I have a regular 72 Prismacolor Premier selection and there are a few in this combination that I don't have.   It looks nice.

I knew Manga was a form of Japanese cartoon.  Did not know that there is a 'manga' palette.  Interesting!

The cat looks purple-ish because of the lighting but it's really a light shading of a very dark gray pencil.

Nice!
That's the thing with gray cats, they can look blue or purple or all sorts of other colours depending on the light.

I need to take some pictures of what I've been up to.  I've finished a couple of designs in a flowers book, a couple of mandelas one of which I ended up doing almost flurescent and the other all nice pastel, earthy shades, and a couple of others in one of my cat books.   My TCS time has been suffering....

I'm no good at blending colors together
I can still see each individual color. The Prismacolor blending pencils may help.
Well, I just learned another thing about blending.

Pencils like Crayola, CraZArt, the inexpensive ones, are hard cores, and won't blend.  Soft core pencils are the only ones which blend.  More pricey pencils - Prismacolor, Farber Castell, etc.- are soft core pencils.  THOSE are the ones to blend.

I have to admit that I've bought duplicates of my favourite books so I can do the same!

Both are lovely, but I personally prefer the second one better - I just prefer a cooler colour palette.

@newmamaof3   That is fascinating.   Both lovely but interestingly I too prefer the second.  I think it is because the colours are more distinct and pick out more of the different designs in the picture but still see everything as a whole.  Could be wrong though.

The other night I took some photos of pictures I've done recently but still not got round to uploading them on to my computer.  I'll get them here eventually.
