My outdoor cat just gave birth to 7 babies! All seem healthy, but she has them in a place that is unprotected from direct sunlight and rain. I tried moving them to a safer spot but she puts them back in original spot. Our temps lately have been between 95-100 each day. Any suggestions to help her and her new babies?

I hesitate to offer advice because I am very new to this, but I brought the outdoor stray that we were caring for inside to have and care for her babies. Is this possible? I think it would offer her the best and safest place if you have a spare bedroom or any room you could close off.

Good luck with your situation and I pray you can get them moved to a better location.

If a pregnant cat has kittens outside, they should be moved ASAP into the house to a dry and quiet place. If the mamma kitty won't let you do that, try a shed or box and slowly let her get to trust you. Animals and the weather could kill the kittens. Hope this helps for both of you.

Agree! They need to be inside the house. Hopefully your outdoor cat will agree to this. Let us know what you decide!
