Hey all-

My cat Norah has been limping on her front left paw for the past few days. Sometimes she'll walk on it but sometimes she'll pull it up completely and walk on 3 legs. I've been keeping an eye on it the best I can but it's been a tough couple weeks and I just do not have the money for a vet visit and none in my area take payments. To me it doesn't seem that serious as she's still rolling around on the floor, jumping up on things, acting normal, etc, but I thought I'd ask for opinions.

It's not swollen at all, she lets me touch and feel it. There doesn't seem to be any cuts, etc on the pads of her feet. I checked for broken nails and those all look fine. Shoulder and wrist seems to be fine. The only thing I could maybe feel was a slight bump on the top of her paw (think the back of your hand but on a cat) but I'm not sure.

Since she's a bit of a daredevil and likes to jump a little higher and farther than she probably should, my husband thinks she probably just landed on it wrong and twisted it. Any thoughts?

How long is "a few" and does the problem seem to be getting better with time?  You'll really need a vet unfortunately to look at it and tell you for sure what it is.  If it seems to be getting worse, or not getting better in a couple of days you really should take her in.

If your vet won't do payment plans, you might qualify for a loan.  I've never used this service but I've seen Care Credit used by some forum members.  https://www.carecredit.com/vetmed
