Seafood in all cat food?

I am trying to transition my kitten to something without grains, carrageenan, meat by-products, corn, wheat, soy or artificial preservatives etc and wanted to steer clear of fish as that's not something she could have as a wild cat and too much fish isn't a good thing anyhow (plus it smells gross) though I would probably use real dried fish as a treat source.

I thought I found the perfect flavors in Nulo's Chicken/Turkey and the Beef/Lamb flavors but both have seafood in them -  tuna's the 5th ingredient for Chicken flavor and Sardines appear before the lamb in the other. And from doing a quick look, it appears that there is some kind of seafood in the cat food, wet or dry, I am looking at.

What's the story? Thanks :)

Too many brands throw fish in as a filler to cut cost.  It's very annoying.

I feed all wet and none of the brands I feed have fish, grains and these are the ones without carrageenan

Nutro Natural Choice chunky chicken or turkey

Weruva cats in the kitchen fowl bowl

Tiki Cat puka puka

Natures Variety chicken, rabbit, duck

Soulistic Good Karma

I do feed one brand with carrageenan and that's Merrick duck

We feed our cats most of the same brands as @Lokhismom because we also don't feed grains, carrageenan (except an occasional can of Wellness CORE kitten food as a treat), potato, or other carby stuff. We don't feed much fish, either, just a small amount of salmon that's in their some of their Primal raw nuggets and an occasional can of Tiki's chicken/salmon food. (Our vet is very against tuna but thinks occasional salmon is fine.)

Beyond Lokismom's list, our cats have been eating these foods consistently:

-Nutro Natural Choice minced chicken

-Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Double Dip and Chicken Frick A Zee

-Tiki's Chicken/Egg food and almost all the Gourmet carnivore foods without fish, plus Tiki's Chicken/Salmon food

-Soulistic's chicken/pumpkin

-Hound & Gatos lamb (occasionally)

I bought a can of Merrick's LID duck that's not truly LID and even our pickier cat absolutely loved it. I couldn't believe it because she usually doesn't like pates. The LID duck food doesn't have carrageenan.

Didn't think it would be so hard to find good food for kittens! She came to me raised on Science Diet which I don't like and I'd like to move her on but if I can find it without fish it has carrageenan!

Thank  you both, I will look these up!

Are you sure the Nutro Natural choice in those 2 flavors has no fish at all in them? Does it have fish oil in them? My cat is allergic to fish and fish oil in canned foods. It is so hard to find a canned food that does not contain any fish oils in them. My cat has to eat the same food day after day as Wellness Turkey is the only food I can find with out some kind of fish oil. She is also allergic to others things in canned foods.

I just looked on my cans of Nutro Natural choice in both those flavors and I don't see any fish oil in them.
