I know i shouldn't have given him so many. My original plan was to give him no more than 3 per day (1 dental and 2 temptations for training purposes). He didn't react to them when he was 9 weeks old, but this morning (2 weeks later) when i tried giving him one he seemed to love them so i gave him 2 more and then an hour later while clipping his nails i gave him 3 more (to keep him in my arms).....i thought it was the first day, 6 treats won't harm for just 1 day.

I feel terrible now. He squats in the litter box in pooping position but then nothing seems to happen. I fed him the treats between 7-9am. He's been trying since 11am and it's 5pm now. His normal poop time is 10.30am. I don't think he's peed either since then. Something is wrong. His stomach is growling pretty loudly and he hid behind the dressing table for 2 hours today. He never does that!

I know i shouldn't have given him so many treats. what do i do now? can i help him somehow?

I beg you to please not give any more Temptation treats to your cat. They almost killed my cat and did cause in part his IBD, I'm sure. You can Google "danger of Temptation treats". I wish your baby a swift recovery.

How is he now?  Has he had a bowel movement yet? Or urinated?  If you want to give him treats, maybe try giving him something like WholeLife or Purebites.  They are much healthier.  They are 100% freeze dried meat, so nothing in them should be harmful, and you can break them into whatever size pieces you want.

If you ever have this problem again, put a 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. of Miralax (yes, the human kind) on his food. I use this for my Megacolon cat to avoid constipation.

Don't sprinkle dry Miralax directly on top of food. You need to dissolve the Miralax first, just like how Humans do. A few teaspoons of water is enough. Then mix it into the canned food. Miralax works by drawing water from the body into the intestines. You don't want to cause dehydration by giving dry Miralax.
