So, we pulled 5 adorable kittens from a shelter yesterday.  They are all healthy and doing well thus far.  I did notice when I went to trim nails on the two littlest, who are 2 month old DLHs, that they seemed almost--double-jointed.  At the wrist level, they flex in practically every direction without any sign of discomfort.  The toes are similarly loose.  Same on the rear legs.  They are mobile and like I said, quite healthy.  They had returned from a foster home from that shelter that day, so I don't think they have been mistreated.  I'm guessing they were born that way.

I'd love to hear if anyone else has seen this in a kitten or cat.  There was a third sibling, at least I'm guessing it was a sibling, that we didn't take because she was hiding in the corner. but I don't know if that one had the same joint laxity, since I didn't notice it in the two we took until we got home.

I will have the vet check on them when they go in for a few weeks for their spay and neuter, but curious, in the meantime.

Pictures forthcoming of little Orion and Persephone.  Orion is a Manxy, too!  Just a little nub of his tail.
