I rescued two kittens after their mom left them. One of the kittens paw got swallow and then he started to go down hill from there. He can't walk and for some time he was still trying to move around but now when he moves he looks like he is in pain. He can't breath well needs mouth open, when he breaths there is noise and saliva is coming out of his mouth. He still purrs every now and again. And I am scarred to feed him because I don't know if he will choke. I know he needs to be feed or he will get dehydrated. Please help me even if it is some advice.

I suspect the only way to try and save him, is by tubefeeding him to stomach.  But that is difficult and dangerous for a newbe.  Not to mention having the correct gears.  Best is to be shown by somebody whom can, an experienced rescuer or a vet who knows such.    (not all vet knows how to do it!   And many vets arent good with young kittens).

Its possible to google on it, there are good descriptions, but its sheer despair for a newbe.

Did you try and contact a vet, and hear their opinion?   That is a way to sound them out if nothing else...    Also this with paw is peculiar.  Got it stuck by an insect, or happened it to broke the paw??

Anyways, do you have needleless syringe, or even a dropper?  You can begin with giving it pedialyte, one or two drops at a time, tummy down, head up, in the corner of the mouth.

If it goes OK, you continue with the kmr / goat milk you use otherwise.

Be sure the kitten is warm and comfortable.

Good luck!

I am not really sure what happened to his paw when I woke him up for his feeding it was swollen. I am trying to feed him his formula through a syringe. And I am not sure if there is a vet that is open yet.
Thanks for replaying it means a lot to me

Its surely OK enough.   I would prefer some unflavored for babies, or even one I made myself, (if I had the suitable gears)  but a pedialyte for children cant be harmful.  Use it to begin with.

He needs to see a vet for his paw and his breathing, and he needs to eat right away. Try to get clear pedialyte, or use water with a sprinkle of salt and sugar or honey.

How old is he?
