My Fitbit bit the dust. I've had it on the charger now for a couple of days and nada. I've cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, I've blown it out, I've blown out the charger, I've reset it now five times. I've gone to the Fitbit community site to see if anybody can help....a lot of people are having problems. So I called the contact line.

Even though my Fitbit is now over two years old and even though I do not have the sales receipt any longer, and even though it's way out of warranty, they're sending me a new Fitbit Flex! New device and new charger (and I'm assuming a new dongle, too).
I am ecstatic! I kept saying, "Really? You're sending me new everything even though it's an old Flex? Really?" Yup, really. I told the guy that he just rocked my world and he laughed.

I already received my email confirmation of the new device and it will be shipped tomorrow. Shipping is also free and it will take about five days to get here.

Fitbit rocks!

I have a Charge HR and it helps me so much! I'm reminded to be more active throughout the day. I was diagnosed with a heart condition last year, but I want to be around and able to play with my Winnie so I am kicking it up a notch with my health!

They are activity trackers you wear. Think like a high tech pedometer :) mine tracks steps, distance, stairs, heart rate, calories burned, etc.

You gotta love customer service like that. I had a Misfit Flash because it tracks cycling as well. Unfortunately, the band is a cheap piece of plastic and the part that holds the device in place snapped. I would have lost the device had it not fallen off when I was in the car and I saw it at my feet. I returned it to Amazon.

Here you go, Barbara:  http://www.fitbit.com/  Mine is a Flex. I've had it for a little over two years now. There are other exercise trackers on the market now, but I still like my Fitbit.

I would like to get a Charge HR to keep track of heart rate, but now that the new Flex is coming, I hate to upgrade now. The Flex does not track steps (or elliptical work) and the Charge HR does. We have a bi-level house and I am constantly going down and up those stairs. Would be nice to track that, too. When I do use the elliptical, I have to put the Flex in my pocket to get a more accurate reading....I can't just wear it on my wrist.

My first Fitbit was a flex, but I lost it almost immediately (maybe I should've called customer service!) I "upgraded" to the Charge HR due to my diagnosis and I have to say I prefer it. It is quite accurate in reading my pulse, which also means calories burned and active minutes are more accurate as well.

Quite a few people said that they lost their Flexes almost as soon as they got them. I'd rather have the Charge HR, too, but it's OK.

Got an email from them yesterday....my new Flex was shipped out!

Flex came on Friday. So far, I haven't opened it as I did get my other Flex to charge and, right now, it doesn't need another charge. I am very pleased with their customer service.
