There is a possibility that she is miscarrying just one sac in which a kitten did not develop properly and the rest of the litter may be fine. It's hard to know, but early discharge is not normal.

When she was leaking discharge it almost smelled milky almost no scent. At all. Is that a good thing? Bc pyometra it's a foul smell that's all I keep thinking. She did go into heat excessive amount of times. I told him get get fixed and he joked oh yeh when I get home I'll let u know the bill. Well first she isn't my cat I just saw something abnormal and it would of only been $70 to spay her

Yes, it is always cheaper and safer to spay. But for now, let's hope kitty is okay.

Can you call and ask your father in law to discuss any procedures with you before they do anything?

Ok just got the call she has what I thought and it's pyometra. Vet said it's a very dangerous operation bc the puss can get in her blood system. But has to be done bc she can die

So it is an abortion and spay?

Yes, thank goodness! Kitty and your in laws are very lucky that you have been watching over their cat!

I knew something was wrong earlier this week.

Poor kitty!

They said she isn't pregnant at all and I'm not sure how they do the surgery but I'm sure they will spay her while in there

She will be at the animal hospital 2-3 days. I knew something was wrong and the pyometra just kept sticking in my head. And the cat was in heat a lot. They said you can mate and not get pregnant and she got the infection and her stomach was huge

Well, that explains why her nipples had not developed, and why she threw up.

I sure hope they can save the cat. Are they operating now?

I will say a prayer!

So they did an ultrasound. And she's not getting the surgery bc it's $3500-$5500 so she is on antibiotics. Praying it clears it up. And when she's better she will get fixed

Yeh I had a pregnant cat and nothing was adding up I read a cat can mate and not get pregnant I guess it was good it is open pyometra instead of closed bc we wouldn't have known. Kind of sad she won't be having kitties just praying now she gets better. She is on medication

Oh, my! I hope the antibiotics work too!

Let us know what they prescribed and the dose and length of time.
