Hello!!

Im searching for help! My indoor 7 year old cat, annabelle has recently gotten very thin...like i can feel her ribs and spine! She does not seem interested in dry food but wolfed down a can of wet food today. She is still drinking water and does not seem weak at all....
Any thoughts???

Rapid weight loss is indicative of illness or parasites, and she should be thoroughly checked by a vet as soon as possible.

Definitely time for a trip to the vet. Weight loss indicates an underlying health issue which the vet has to diagnose. 7 years is considered "senior age" so health problems are more likely to occur.

Does your cat's appetite seem normal or is she hungrier than usual? Is the water drinking normal as well or does it seem excessive? is litter box habits normal or are you finding lots of large clumps of urine that may be sticky and/or sugary smelling?
