my mother has a question.  the kitten sneezes or coughs or something really hard and  alot

and her question is  if we can use a nebulizer on her?

we have little packets that is saline water. it has no steroids or antibiotics or anything its just water.

would that be okay to use on her to help her stuffy nose ?

Putting a vaporizer in the room where she stays is better. Then it is running full-time. Hopefully the clavamox drops will clear her up too.

We would need to ask catwoman707 catwoman707 before using a nebulizer on a kitten this small.

Rather than thinking of using a nebulizer, you can give temporary relief of her stuffy/snotty nose with Little Noses, it is simply saline drops made for infants and is completely safe to use as often as needed on kittens.

It will be a couple days before she gets any help from clavamox. Remember you can also run a hot shower and steam up the bathroom well then set her in there for 10 or so minutes.

It's a bottle of nasal spray but tipped over it will drop out too.

Either way works, it's just however you want to get it in that tiny nose :) Dropping it out will send it down their throat, blasting the spray up is fine but they aren't thrilled with it! lol

This sounds interesting.

Have you bought a scale yet? We really need a daily weight on your kitten.

Have you named the kitten?

How is your kitten doing with the nutrical, clavamox, and formula?

Give us an update when you get a chance! :)

the kittens eyes are clearing up c:

ones is slightly goopy  but her eyes arnt swollen anymore

got her weighed at the store lol the lady was very nice to let me

shes almost 7 ounces. not to sure how accurate they are tho. i use to work at a grocery store and you would weigh the same fruit once and it be diff everytimmeee but in the same range ish

i havnt named her. for now we call her hammy   like short for hamster since she looked like a little hamster when we found her

she isnt coughing or sneezing so much anymore.

shes pooping now ( when she popps she mews a lot and makes grunt noises maybe shes having a hard time pushing it out? :c)

and peeing normally

the lady leant me a better heating pad. the one i had wasnt very good you had to hold the button to warm it up.

she told me the kitten is doing very well

she suggested i switch her slowly over to goats milk

she says they digest that way better and its also cheaper.

i think the prices are the same tho

Watch the goopy eye. If it doesn't clear call the vet.

At almost 7 ounces she needs 56 mL per day, but you said you are already giving her more, which is great.

It's nice of her to loan the heating pad to you.

If kitty seems to be straining, you can add a few drops of olive or vegetable oil to her bottles. It helps with constipation.

You can switch to goat's milk if you want. It's very good for kittens. Or continue with the KMR.

I'm glad to hear that her URI is getting better.

Overall a very good report! Keep up the good work! :)

Personally, I would not switch her over to goat's milk. Not that I don't think it's great for them, but so is KMR and that is what she is used to and doing so well on.

Plus unless it's done VERY gradually, it will upset her system.

Your weight is off or mistyped.  You said earlier she was almost 7oz, but halfway to 8oz is 4oz.

Good update!
