Are you using a needless syringe?  A nursing kitten will not accept a bottle.

Feed the kitten Tummy down, head up like he is feeding at mom, not like a human baby.  Put a couple drops in the side of the mouth, wait for him to swallow, take a breath and repeat.  It takes time and patience and practice.  You don't want to get fluid in his lungs.  You may want to supplement purple throughout the day.

Hmm. Pretty steady except for Purple, so you need to give him 1-2 mL every hour to 2 hours around the clock until he is gaining steadily and latching and nursing. Sounds like he is either too weak to suckle or getting pushed out.

We should begin to see weight gain on the others by tomorrow.

Can you weigh Purple again in 12 hours? I want to make sure he does not continue to lose.

Do mama's bags look like they are filling with milk today?

Agreed, I did mention a possible loss the first day however the one who lost 8 is a bit too much for this size, and I would carefully work on getting some formula going. A 1ml syringe is highly recommended for this tiny size, as it will give much better control over the drops.

Try just one drop at a time into the cheek area, allowing to swallow and breathe in between.

One tiny drop inhaled is disaster, just FYI.

Good luck!

By the way, you will want to be ON TOP of their weights, 72 grams is a mere 2.5 ounces, even your biggest is just 3.4 ounces.

3.4 is about average for birth weight, but 2.5 is VERY low, so def. one to watch like a hawk.

I currently only have a 10 ml syringe and a eye dropper I used the 10 ml syringe to feed her the milk should I try the dropper or should I pick up another syringe the eye dropper is made out of glass and mama still does not look like she is filling and and still only drinking some milk and did not want the chicken broth

A 10 ml syringe won't give you nearly the control that 1 ml will. Tiny babies like this one are so fragile, one squirt by mistake will cause very bad results, pneumonia/death.

I am not a fan of eye droppers either since the drops come out bigger and it's just too easy to squeeze out more than one small drop.

Try to get by a store/vet/pharmacy asap for a 1 ml, you will likely be needing it for all or most anyway.

If they are nursing and quiet, then I wouldn't worry too much. It's actually quite rare for a mom to not get her milk.

Mom should fill with milk pretty soon. Some bags will look bigger than others. The bottom bags are always the biggest and fullest.

Is there a reason why she will not drink water though she has had two bowels of the milk water in the last 24 hrs and she refuses to drink water

Try to get a better picture of the others please. I can just barely see one of the others and it looks red where it has been suckled.

I think getting all their weights at 12 hours will tell us a lot. Get the small syringe so you''re ready to go either way. And feeding Purple will be easier and safer, as Catwoman pointed out.

It doesn't have to be water. She just needs liquid, be it from milk or wet food. When she really wants water she will drink it.
