When Can You Determine Kitten Hair Length and Eye Color?

I have no idea where this thread belongs, so I hope if I'm in the wrong place someone will move it for me.

I was wondering when you can tell a kitten is going to be long haired (or have the debatable medium coat)? My kitten definitely is fluffier at 16 weeks, but not nearly as fluffy as most long haired kittens I have seen. My vet took one look at her and marked her as a long haired cat, but i'm wondering if she'll become sleek and have shorter hair as she gets older. When can you tell? Her mother was a barely long haired cat (that medium coat more or less). She just had a fluffy tail and slight fluffiness on her body. She was barely a year old with kittens.

Also, you can't tell due to the picture quality but her eyes were yellow when we got her at 11 weeks old, and now they are beginning to change to more of an orange color? When do kittens get a more permanent eye color?

Is this two different cats pictured?

I don't think the kitten will be any more or less fluffy than what he is already showing now.

Kittens usually get their permanent eye color by four months old.

Its the same cat. She just becomes brown with tabby stripes in the sun.

She's over four months old and her eyes definitely have an orange to their gold color now so I guess it just depends on the light. I like the length her hair is now so it would be great if it stayed that way! The hair has certainly gotten longer since we got her. She looks a lot like her mama hair lengthwise at this point since her mom had a slightly bushy tail, but most of her was fairly sleek.
