Yeah. He got dumped for real, but its also apparent the dumper hoped somebody would find him.   Its somewhat alike in the old times, when they dumped babies.  Formally to kill them, but usually done so, they could be found, if somebody wished to found them.  In the litterature there are so many examples (Moses is just one!),  I believe it was some sort of custom, children-less pairs could adopt such an anonymous dumpted child, and raise it as theirs own, with fully legal prarental rights...   And vice versa, such rescued and adopted child had all the rights of their biological child.

That pattern is called for Harlequin, but Im sure if you wish, you can call him for Van pattern, with some few extra spots, thown in for good measure!   :)

Congrats to both the founder, and the founded.   :)

Panda is adorable! Sadly, that type of thing happens all too often. Our shelter got a call last week that a woman had found two young kittens dumped at the back of a cemetery in a plastic bag. Another time somebody put two parakeets in a plastic bag and left it hanging on the front door of the shelter. People routinely dump rabbits in front of the shelter - if they're lucky, in cardboard boxes which might protect them from predators like foxes.

So happy Panda found you.  Sometimes people are overwhelmed; sometimes they're stupid; sometimes theyre just cruel.

There was a three-wekk old kitten found in a local butcher's trash can near me.  She's now a major celebrity, with appearances on the Philadelphia news stations.  The butcher wrote on her Facebook page that she is happy and healthy now but surely wishes that the fleas of a thousand camels infest the dumper's private parts.  I thought that only fitting.

Thank you everyone !
He is doing better now. I took him to the vet with a stool sample. No worms, No fleas. Healthy. Vet estimated his age to be around 6 weeks. Quite young.

I just don't understand how anyone can just dump an animal, regardless of whatever situation they're dealing with. It's horrible and there should be stricter laws about this as I consider it to be animal cruelty. That being said, at least he was found by you and now has someone who genuinely loves him. He will live a much happier life now.

I just HAD to enlarge this and repost it.. (Of course you can just click on them to get a bigger version).

He is just so precious and so very trusting, showing off his tummy like that.
