Need help! Kitty won't eat pills

Hello! I am new to this site and I am hoping someone can help me. My senior cat just had a mast cell tumor removed from his side. My vet prescribed him antibiotics but he refuses to eat the pill. I have tried everything! Pill pockets, crushing the pill into his food etc. Does anyone out there have any tips? Also he was diagnosed with early kidney disease was put on the prescription kidney food. Anyone out there have any experience with it? Thanks so much!! Love my little guy and trying to take the best care of him.

Thank you so much. I tried bits of chicken, cheese, deli ham, crushed in his food and he won't eat any of it. :-( I tried also prying his mouth open and putting the pill covered with butter down his mouth, but he just spits it out. I am very concerned because he just had surgery and I don't want anything to get infected. Thanks so much.
